Great post. I did a deep dive into the "mound builder myth" a while back. Here's the link to Part 1, but Part 2 gets into the Neo-Nazis' contemporary use of it. I'll have to revise this for Substack at some point.

The whole mound builder myth is definitely something Natives should be aware of. It's largely a buried story but the white supremacists are resurrecting it. And we're all being groomed thru various popular media like the History Channel and things like that.
