After Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad published obituaries of their members that included some journalists, on June 25, the renowned press advocacy group Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) purged 8 Palestinians killed by Israel from their extensive database of slain reporters for alleged militant activities or terrorist affiliations.
By deleting names of Palestinians and not recognizing them as journalists, CPJ has given Israel a gift, effectively legitimizing Israel’s lies that that Palestinian journalists are undercover Hamas terrorists.
“[The] Committee to Protect Journalists is finished as a credible organisation forever,” wrote investigative journalist Matt Kennard on X. “No way back from this disgrace. Zionists destroy everything they touch.”
Yet CPJ has been fueling Zionist slander and incitement campaigns since the Israeli genocidal onslaught began.
Now, CPJ is reviewing their database to remove more Palestinian journalists and will release their results at the end of July, this week.
